Some updates

So uhh...to quickly sum up my life lately:

- Still haven't finished my knitting projects, or started on my ponies.

- All kinds of new stuff in town including a new sammich shop and a tattoo parlor accross from the gas station. I think I should get a tat of a Jabberwocky. Whatcha think?

- Uhh...still working every day. It's hell on my feet and I'm really tired pretty much all of the time, but at least I'm getting paid.

- Did my taxes (mailed them today).

- Am aiming for a car by the end of the month. It's possible. I'm getting all of my Federal taxes back, which means I can use my savings to get a car. Awesome.

- Still need my wisdom teeth removed.

I think that's it for now...

Excitement and Mangled Aluminuminuminum

I was at work yesterday and the day was started off...special. While the paper lady was getting her coffee and while I was staring up at Transformers Animated playing on the t.v., a guy drove his rental truck into the side of the gas station! It sounded like the whole side of the building was coming down, and when I turned around, I saw a rented Budget truck tearing off the aluminum awning that covers our sidewalk.

Yeah.

He swears that our awning hangs out too far, but seriously? It barely covers the sidewalk and if he had kept going, the back tire of his truck would have gone over the sidewalk and possibly hit the giant windows. That corner (which is where I stand, btw), is pretty much made entirely of glass. The awning was attached to the brace at the corner.

He could have pulled out the windows.

Luckily the boss man was right behind him and saw the whole thing. Insurenece is going to pay for the damage, but I feel like this guy needs his license taken away. He told us that he hit icicles with it while trying to go through a MCDONALD'S DRIVE THRU! That is generally NOT reccomended. He also backed into someone in a walmart parking lot.

He has no bussiness driving a truck that size. Or any truck, for that matter.

As though that was enough excitement....

For the rest of the day (and into this morning), I recieved calls asking if I still had a free Paint mare. *sighs* Someone put my name and phone number in an ad on Craig's List saying there was a mare free to a good home. Weird thing is that it says it's in Mars Hill. So whether it's a prank or a mistake is unknown, but it's been flagged and reported. I just dunno who'd do that and think it's funny. It's sorta random, too.

Speaking of phone calls, I was woken up by Greg over at Auto Connection...AGAIN. This dude has been told not to call anymore. Not to mention the fact I already explained to one of the other sales people that I no longer have the money for a car. (Though I do. Ended up having enough saved in my account to pay for the dentist visit, but still). I told him that I had spoken with someone else there already, multiple times, and hung up. I was half asleep so anymore more complictated than that would have been hard to say.

Long Awaited...

*piles of snow go flying as she digs her way out. Two gloved hands grip the sides of the hole and hoist her out, dressed in a pillowy parka, goggles, a scarf, and a hat. Oh, and pants...those are important. And boots.*

OMG YOU GUYS! It's been snowing non-stop since 3:30 yeseterday.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!

So happy.

Trying Not To Be a Recluse

Wow, I'm still slacking in updating. At least I've gotten back into updating Plurk now and then.

I gave up on Twitter.

Anyway...there's nothing new happening. Maybe that's why I hardly update, ROFL. The car people kept calling us, even after I explained that I won't be buying a car from ANYONE right now. I have a huge cavity and need to go to the dentist, and with no insurence, I have no idea how much it'll be. But I'll definitely have to use my down payment to pay for it. Plus I have no idea how many other cavities they may find.Ah well, that adventure starts on Thursday. On the bright side- I'll probably have another 1k saved up by the end of the month. So if I can just hold out til mid-March, I may just be able to put 2k down on a car. This should make it tons easier for me to afford a small SUV. Hell, I might just get a truck. Depends on if I can find a nice 1500, or Silverado sport. If I get something like that, I want it to be on the small size.

Yeah, I gave up hope on finding a car that I can fit in. It just isn't possible.

Ransom is now regular practice when buying a car

Or at least that's what I was lead to believe at Auto Connection. They took my mom's liscense to "make a copy" and kept it in the back for HOURS. Seriously. She had to ask for it five times. And it's not like they were still using it. They were all "Oh, it's on the desk, let me get that..." then we'd wait for ten minutes and a different sales rep. would come out to try and talk me into spending too much. So yeah. We told 'em we'd come back, but momma is sooooooooo not driving up there again. Only place left to look is Paramount Kia, but I'm not too keen on that. Just because I was with momma when she got her truck and the rep. wouldn't let her drive it herself. That bothered me a lot. But ya never know. I kinda want to head to Greenville, too. There's also the Chevy place on the by-pass, but I dunno that I'd have much luck there.

I'll keep ya'll posted.

OMG I don't even know

I've been totally /wrists lately and that needs to stop. Like, I'll be happy for all of five mintues, then back to wanting to just go to bed. It sucks. I'm trying to pinpoint the triggers, though, and dealing with the ones that I'm able to deal with. Some things, however, are out of my hands. Like the economy. But according to Janice's brother (who knows all), the economy will start to look good again right after the inauguration. Not because Obama is gonna be the end all be all of presidents, but just because the economy usually booms when we get a new prez. Especially after two terms of the same Jo. So there you go.

Let's see what's happened lately...

I have the money to get a car now, but I have yet to purchase one. It's a long story as to why I didn't get one on Saturday, and no, I dunno if we're going this Saturday. I've just stopped asking. I figure I'll find out if I get in the truck and we pull up to the dealership.

I think I'm going to stop RPing. Not alltogether, but I'm at least going to keep myself from logging on every day. I think I'll cut it down to twice or three times a week. It's starting to get to be something I feel like I have to do, rather than a hobby. Hobbies should never feel like that.

I've stopped sleeping again, but that's not all bad. I managed to work on a story some last night/this morning. I need to do more of that.

I've gotten a lot of knitting done. I started a pair of fingerless gloves for Heather based on the character, Harley.

Now I just need to make the other one, and yay!

I think that's all...*wanders off*

Yay for learning!

My aunt Terry took me out to learn how to drive her truck today. Why did I need to learn, you ask? Because her's has a manual transmission. I wanted to learn in case the only car I can find is a manual. Otherwise I'd be stuck, ya know? So we drove by the river...I made the truck die several times. But I also started off smoothly a coupl times. I feel I should mention the truck has no 1st gear.

Yeah.

Fun times were had.
