Adventures in Elvis land

Ok, so I was no where near Memphis, but I *was* in Tenn. and that makes me think of Elvis.

So anyway...today I took mommy to the airport for her trip to Vegas! WEE! Only...the drive back wasn't so great. I managed to take the wrong exit (stupid confusion of east and west...) and thought I had gotten back on track. Well...I was heading along East I-40 when I see the sign "END" above the 40 sign.

WHAT THE HELL?!! 40, for those who don't already know, convers California to NC. So I was thoroughly confused o..O I was detoured down an exit (no where else to go, the road literally came to an end), where I stopped at a McDonalds. I asked for directions and was told to make a left at the fifth stoplight from the McDonalds.

Ok.

1...2..3....................4.................................................5!

Wait...there's no where to turn left!! UGH! So I kept driving until I had room to turn around...then stopped at a gas station...they didn't know how to get anywhere...so then I stopped at ANOTHER gas station. She was much more helpful ^^ She told me to go BACK TO THE MCDONALDS and go passed it and take the second left....YAY! I kinda knew where I was....so my adventure was done.

I was stressin the whole time because I didn't want to be late for work. Yesterday I told Mo' that I'd be gone to take Mommy to the airport, but I could work Dinner. Well...I called on my way home to say I'd be late...and Anne Marie said that she didn't even know that I was comming in today XD So I was stressin for nothing. She said that she thought that they were fine with help tonight, but I'd be on call til about 6pm...which it nearly is now. I have to work lunch on Saturday and Brunch and (possibly) Dinner on Sunday. I'm good with this. I think the double shift won't be too bad on Sunday because there will be like...three hours between the shifts where I will come home and nap XD

I wonder when I get paid >..> I need gas money...and a new mouse for my computer as I believe the P1 and P2 ports are dead. We *think* this is why my computer won't boot up. I hope to whatever electronic deity there is that a new mouse will fix it T_T I want my own comp back...and I want to start saving for a new monitor, lol.

Ok, I think that's all I had to update with...

OH! Any of my friends in the area who are reading this...I totally want to go see Pirates of the Caribbian on Saturday July 7th. Not only do I want to see it...I want to see it with a group of people dressed as pirates!! *^^*

Yes, I'm already thinking about next year's Animazment. It'll be the ten year aniversery, so I'm pretty sure it'll be the biggest one yet. I really want to cosplay this time. I'm thinking of going as Shana from Shakugan no Shana. I don't think my chunky butt will look all that great in the costume...but then, that's true of most costumes XD

A night of fun...and walmart XD

Last night, after a trip to Newport with my mom (and a failed attempt to get our nails done), I came home...then left for Newport again with Matilda, lol.

We went "Midnight Bowling," which just means that there was a blacklight and a disco ball with lots of flashy lights on while we bowled XD It was fun, we played from 11:30-2:00am It was lots of fun...I took a few pics, but they didn't come out too well, so I probably won't post them. I bowled a 70! A new record for me, lol!

After that, we went for food...then scampered over to Walmart because Matilda hadn't gotten anything for her dad for father's day. Can we say last minute? ^^; We spent two hours there...mostly playing video games in the electronics section >..> I shouldn't be allowed there anymore, I want too many games XD It made me think though...I'm considering selling my Gameboy Advanced for an SP...why? Because I want a backlight gosh darnit. I have no desire for a DS...I can't deal with too screens, lol. Nor can I afford that.

But anyway...after that, we took Bubbah (ahahaha, Bubbah...) home and then she took me home, with many apologies for it being 5am XD But I didn't care...Nana knew where I was, and I was having fun running about Walmart, so it's all good.

*yawns* I'm really sleepy though T_T

Update XD

I went to the dentist AGAIN today...it was for a cleaning and evaluation. I go back Monday for one of many fillings. Seven cavaties (might be more, I never really got the final count), and two watches. Plus the filing that needs to be replaced.

Ah, so much fun >..>

I also called the Spa again like Matilda said...and was told that I didn't have to do that. >..< I guess they just don't want me...she said that they didn't "have a position that matches my application." Right. I only loaded the thing up with my office skills knowing that the position open is for the desk.

Right.

I'll never get my comp fixed at this rate T_T

So today, I played more Kingdom Hearts.

And then...

I finished cleaning off my bed.

OMG! I can finally stop sleeping on the couch! Now if I can just get my comp fixed, all will be right with the world.

Hmm...I may go play more KH...I'm currently at a boss and I'd like to have that done tonight...

Ok, enough of that.

So in other news...I'm still without a job. Apparently I haven't even been considered for the Spa. So I totally don't know what I'm going to do this summer T_T. I may very well have to try at Gamestop. Though explaining to them why I picked up an application last Tuesday and haven't turned it in until now would be interesting. I have to get paid this summer, and cleaning nana's room isn't going to cut it. I mean, it's nice of her to pay me...but I don't want her money. She doesn't have that much to begin with.

An exciting thing has happened though...well, other than the cap from the milk in the trash exploading and flying across the kitchen...They're opening a US Cellular store here in town. You know what that means? Yep, it's official, we're getting a cell tower! YAY! This means I can use my phone at home and not jack up Nana's phone bill.
